Growing up, I was fascinated by Mt. Elgon on the Kenya-Uganda border which was once Africa’s highest mountain and today has the largest surface area of any extinct volcano in the world.

When you hike the mountain, unlike other mountain hikes the goal is not the summit, but the descent from the peak into one of the world’s largest calderas and a chance to soak your feet in the hot springs found there.

I still find that to be amazing, beautiful, and somewhat cheeky of mother nature, making it one of my “happy places”.

The personal finance journey is an adventure, and my goal is to help you walk the path and achieve that sense of calm and relaxation, you’d get if you climbed to the top of Mt. Elgon today and descended into the hot springs.

Getting into a financial planning relationship with an advisor is one of the most critical decisions you will probably make in your life, and so we recommend interviewing several advisors before you sign on the dotted line.

You want an advisor who is a Fiduciary – which means they put your interests first.

You want an advisor who understands your background, appreciates your cultural roots and gets your pain points.

I have built my firm specifically to address issues that foreign-born families and immigrants on work visas in the STEM space face. I have an extensive network of outside professionals who understand some of these unique situations, that I can call upon anytime.

With my tech background, I invest in industry-leading technology to simplify our relationship with you from the planning process to the virtual meetings.

Your money is held at TD Ameritrade, Inc or Charles Schwab Corp, which is insured by the SIPC for up to $500,000 per account type and is protected against losses resulting from the failure of the broker-dealer. Please note, that unlike FDIC insurance for banks, SIPC does not protect against losses due to normal swings in the market. An explanatory brochure is available at http://www.sipc.org.
